Life as of Late

Well, it's true. I have finally given into the blogging world.

I've created this blog for two main reasons. To be able to document and show the world how witty/funny I can be. And to rub in your face how AWESOME being married is.

No really, the reason I've created this blog is to keep friends/family updated on what we've been up to. Mostly though, this will be a great journal to look back on in a few years!

Anyway, here are the latest things happening in the Winder home:

1. We graduated!

2. I only have 11 school days left! I am almost completely done with my first full year of teaching. First year of teaching + getting married in the same year = not the best idea.

3. Because my position with Alpine School District was just a one year position (I opted to do that instead of student teaching), I have been on the job hunt for next school year. I got a job offer with Cedar Valley Elementary. I'm sure you've never heard of it. You should google map it. I don't even know if it's on a map honestly. It is out in the middle of nowhere! I will be teaching third grade and will have 14 students. FOURTEEN students. Everywhere else I interviewed with told me somewhere in the ballpark of 35-40 students. I couldn't be more excited.

4. Beaver is a busy bee between school, work, and his new internship. He took the GRE last week and did AWESOME. He will probably not have to take it again. And he will probably get into a great Health Administration program. Probably.

  1. I'm not sure where my other comment went...maybe i didn't post it all the way...or maybe you have to approve them...if i didn't post it, it basically said that i like that i will now be able to stalk you more thoroughly, that my own attempt at a blog was as of yet unsuccessful due to my laziness, and that it's kind of weird reading you in blog for because it kind of doesn't sound like you. Anyway, the reason i am writing on here again is because I google mapped Cedar Valley, and you weren't kidding, it IS in the middle of nowhere. On another note, I think I may have driven there before....I decided to randomly drive out to eagle mountain the other day cuz i've always wondered what's out there, and i drove until i hit this tiny little town, and i think that may have been it. It's pretty back there. Anywho, luvyagf.
