Halloween

Halloween was so so much fun this year.  Carson completely understood it and we talked about Halloween and read Halloween books all month.  I'm not sure he actually understood when Halloween day was finally here though.  To him, Halloween was just a new thing that we talked about and every day was Halloween.  I had to explain to him when we were trick or treating that this is the moment we had been talking about all month.

That morning we made treats (like we didn't already have enough)

And that night we walked up and down a street in a nearby neighborhood and went trick or treating!! He didn't ever want to stop and could barely walk by the end because his pumpkin full of candy was so heavy.

With his spoils.  He was so excited about all the "tandy".

Pictures of Our October

This post is full of our every day life pictures that need to be documented somewhere!

We went to a BBQ place for our anniversary and brought Carson with us.  Bad idea? Yes.  He fell on the ground and managed to dump his entire cup of water all over himself.  Hence the naked baby.

Sick day (and he's in a toddler bed now).

Sleepy sleepy after church

Toddlers took over HEB grocery store.  Carson was not that interested in eating the healthy food they were giving out.

We met some character at Discovery Green named Pocoyo.  Carson had no idea who he was and made this funny face the entire time haha.

I finally finished Carson's baby quilt!  It's about time.

Fire station tour

Preschool gum balls for the letter "G"

Way too much baking this month

Zoo trips with his bestie

Trick or treating and making crafts at the children's museum

Discovery Green Halloween party

And one morning I went into Carson's room to find him making a choo choo with his stuffed animals.  I loved that he was riding on it too!

Trunk or Treat

Last week, our church held a trunk or treat with a few different activities.
Carson had soo much fun and did not want to leave.

Of course we had to do a little photo shoot before we went to trunk or treat.

Carson had fun running around and doing the activities with his friend, Sophia.

Zoo Bo0o0o

Steve took off work for a few hours at the beginning of the month and we hit up Houston's Zoo Boo.
It was Carson's first time wearing his costume so he was a little confused about the whole Halloween thing.

We played games

Wore our costume for a few minutes (not happy and a little confused)

Picked out a "punkah" and painted it

Watched all the animals eat pumpkins

 Rode on the carousel

And found this little photo op

What a great way to start off our month!

September in Pictures

We had such a fun month exploring all that Houston has to offer!!

A park downtown does a "Toddler Tuesday" and one week Thomas the train came and we got to go on a train ride around the park.

Another week policemen came with a police car and helicopter Carson got to sit in.  Carson got a fire hat and was supposed to go in a fire truck but the fire truck had an emergency to get to!

Another week was a foam party! (he does not look excited but I promise he loved it)

Carson started a little preschool group with 4 other kids once a week and I taught a few weeks ago.

We are on a hunt to find every train table in this city

Ready for church

"Choo choo chalk"

A huge furniture warehouse in Houston hosted a family night complete with dinner, dessert, animals, and a carriage ride.  Carson was so in love with those monkeys!

"Cinderella in Spain" at the Miller Outdoor Theater

More zoo pictures

Petsmart is our go-to when we are bored

Trying out some new restaurants, Grimaldi's Pizza and Tiff's Treats (and matching Minnesota boys)

Visiting dad at work!

Love that it's warm enough to swim still!

"Painting" the fridge with water while I paint his Halloween costume

Got out our Halloween stuff and Carson (or I) couldn't be more excited!!

Now on to the best month of the year!
