Apparently strawberries are in season for the rest of the country to pick in June, but here in Houston it's so hot they are ready to pick between February and May.
So a few weeks ago we headed to Froberg's to pick some berries.
They had a fun little farmers market and the most delicious berry filled individual pies.
I am already planning our trip next year just for the pies :)

When we got home that night we made some homemade waffles and syrup to go with our handpicked strawberries. Yumm!!!
